Saskia Tiara At six inches tall, Saskia tiara makes an impressive entrance. Each Saskia will be different because of the various pieces of glass and crystal I will use it will not be possible to replicate each one exactly. I designed this in the run-up to bonfire night and I was thinking of fireworks and also I thought it was quite arty, fun, and bright. I imagined the sort of person who would wear this might buy her tiara first and then design her dress to fit in with the tiara...sort of the opposite way it normally happens, I think. I could imagine this would go beautifully with a gold coloured dress and you could imagine someone wearing their hair up looking fantastic in this. I have used silver lined handmade glass beads, Swarovski crystal in an eclectic shower of colours as well as glass pearls, a gorgeous peacock feather, gold coloured rocailles, all with beautiful gold plated wire on a flexible band.
