Heirloom Tiara Band
Heirloom Jewellery and Tiaras are constructed around a vintage or antique
piece of jewellery...these are 'upcycled' and made into something unique and amazing
for today's bride. These pieces are limited to the vagaries of availability and
condition of old pieces of jewellery, many of which are a once in a lifetime find...this
means that the probability is that this piece can never be repeated.
Flora
Heirloom Band; pretty pretty pretty. For this asymmetric style tiara band
which has most of the detail towards one side rather than in the centre, and is
embellished on the other side with a little echoing flourish on the other side
of the band - it is worked on both sides of the tiara so you can wear it whichever
way up you would like to, and can be worn as a traditional tiara or as an Alice
band style.
I used a 1930's handpainted enamelled yellow rose and aurora
borealis crystal brooch and a pair of 1950's lucite and crystal enamelled earrings
as the starting point for this tiara, then embellished with handmade glass leaves,
Czech glass leaves, Czech firepolish glass, freshwater pearls, Swarovski crystal,
Bohemian glass, antique crystal and rocailles with goldtone wire; the tiara is
made on a comfortable handmade wired base and is finished off with silver lined
antique rose rocailles.
Measures approx. 2.5 inches / 6.5 cm at its
widest point.
